Before starting Rudraksha Therapy Treatment internally, one must consult Rudraksha ayurvedic expert doctor having the full knowledge of Rudraksha therapy and principles of health. It is better to use only Chaturmukhi, panchamukhi and shanmikhi Rudrakshas in the beginning and later other mukhi Rudrakshas can be added according to need, as each of the “faces” (vertical lines-furrows) is said to have particular value to the wearer. Rudraksha are used in milk, everyday it should be properly cleaned, otherwise milk-soaked Rudraksha attracts ants, household flies and also fungus. While rubbing the Rudraksha for  paste, face part should be upwards. To preserve costly Rudrakshas of various faces available rarely, keep the Rudrakshas soaked in mustard oil for 3 hours and then use. No cracks or deshaping will occur. For internal use as medicine, Rudrakshas minimum size of amlaki (Indian Goose Berry) and maximum below three years old are effective. After that Rudraksha will start loosing slowly its medicinal effectiveness. When mala or necklace is used for medicinal purpose it is better to change every five years to get required medical benefits. According to various shastras Rudraksha mala can be worn around crown ear ring, chain around the ear, armlet and specially around the stomach. One can wear one bead on the crest, three hundred around the head, thirty six around the neck( kantamala), eighteen around each arm, nine on each wrist, 108 or 54 on the chest, 504 around stomach above waist, 162 as Yognopavit. One can also wear two, three, five, seven beads malas of Rudraksha around the neck, in each ear lobe one, around each ear six, one on fore head.

Rudraksha Japamala

Japa with Rudraksha mal yields many good results on human body and mind. When the japam is being performed with Rudraksha mala keeping the beads little pressed and pushed, a type of acupressure is being done on the acupressure points in the thumb and middle finger. This improves the blood circulation at eyes, mental nerves, pituitary and pineal and it prevents the cold and asthma. If a mala with 54 ( half the size) is made out,, it may be counted twice. An extra bead known as “MERU”- or “SADYOTHAMA BIJA”  attached on the outside of the circuit chain to indicate from where the japa mala should be reserved as the 108 count has been reached, and also indicate the completion. Rudraksha japa mala is very important for Gayathri japam, Sandhyavandhanam, etc. Morning  japam should be completed before 10a.m in which japa mala should be at the level of Nabhi (Umblicus). Afternoon japam should be performed between 12.00 noon and 2.30 p.m wherein japa mala should be at the level of nose point. Thus it is clearly indicate by performance of the said japa vidhi (method) (Rudraksha japam) three times a day - will protect from stomach, chest, and breathing diseases.

Rudraksha contains more natural vitamin ‘c’ (Amla) which increases the body power against any disease. It is also having characteristics of “Shirorthi Shamanam” which means having curative qualities of head diseases which includes mainly mental diseases, eyes, nose, ears and throat ailments. It is Ruchyam, which means, it is used to cure stomach ailments especially, indigestion, gases, tastelessness of tongue, etc. Bhutagrah, Vinashanam hence cures the various bad effects of evil spirits and planetary afflictions. Thus Rudraksha has a great role on central nervous system’s regulations and normalization of physical and mental health.

In ayurvada much significance is given to planetary position, condition of stars and moon like amavasya or poornima, while treating the patients, which have definite effects on human body and the diseases. Hence it is rightly said in the above shloka that Rudraksha is Bhuta Graha Vinashak.

Gauri Shankar Rudraksha

Two naturally joined Rudraksha called Gauri Shankar is regarded as the form of Shiva & Parvati. It is so much full of influence that it causes the development and expansion of universe due to its being the unified and identified form of the Lord Shiva and the Goddess Uma. This form becomes the cause of expansion of the universe providing fertility. It makes the husband and wife identify each other. Therefore it is regarded the best thing for peace and comfort in the family.

If a man worships Gauri Shankar at his worshipping place, the pain and suffering and other earthly obstacles are destroyed and the peace and pleasure of family are increased. It is called Ek Alakh King; the Omkar (Om) itself. It is the creator and do preservation of the universe and it is the past, present and future itself. SRIMADDEVIBHAGAVAT 11th Skand Chapter III -

NARAYANA said - 
A man wearing fourteen Mukhi Rudraksha on his forehead himself becomes Siva, hence its greatness is indescribable. One who wears even one bead on the forehead is always worshipped like Brahmins and gods and attains Moksha.

Chapter V -

God Said - 
There is no need to describe the greatness of Rudraksha again and again. It should be worn always for it is superior to all.
Those men who wear either the rosary of Rudraksha or even one bead on their head, get rid of all pains, sorrows and sins and attain all the credits. Such men on chanting the names of Siva become superior to all other men.

According to Jabala, instinct for wearing Rudraksha results only after attaining the perfection of Vedas and Blessings of Lord Siva during preceding births He cannot be killed. He roams like Rudra among other creatures on earth and is worshipped like Siva by all including deities.

MANTRAMAHARNAVA LORD SIVA said -

The 12 Mukhi Rudraksha is the Centre of Brilliancy and Luster and Radiance and Strength of 12 forms of the God The Sun SURYA. The wearer of this Rudraksha gets the quality of Surya to move continuously with brilliant radiance and strength. In the Srimaddevibhagavat 11th Skand Chapter V verse 25 to 26 it is stated 
"According to Jabala , instinct for wearing Rudraksha results only after attaining the perfection of Vedas and Blessings of Lord Siva during preceding births."

In the Srimaddevibhagavat 11th Skand Chapter IV verse 27 to 29 it is stated 
"Twelve Mukhi appeases Surya and provides the benefit that accrues from Gomedha and Asvamedha yajnas. It dispels fear of armed men, horned animals and lion. Its wearer never suffers from physical and mental pains. Thus it makes the man fearless and trouble free to lead the life like the god himself."

11 Mukhi Rudraksha

This Rudraksha belongs to Eleventh Rudra i.e. Lord hanumaan ji and has power of mountains. 10 Mukhi Rudraksha as found in various Puran

Lord Vishnu, major god of Hinduism and Indian mythology, popularly regarded as the preserver of the universe. Some Puranic literature refers to him as the eternal, all-pervading spirit and associates him with the primeval waters believed to have been omnipresent before the creation of the world. So regarded, Vishnu is depicted frequently in human form, sleeping on the great serpent Shesha and floating on the waters. One hand holds a lotus; a second holds a conch; a third holds a discus (which always returns by itself after being thrown); and the fourth carries a mace. The petals of the lotus are believed to symbolize the unfolding of creation; the conch is said to symbolize that from which all existence originates; and the discus and the mace reputedly were obtained by Lord.

8 Mukhi Rudraksha as found in various Puran

Eight faced Rudraksha is the second form of reflection of the first son of Lord Ganesh and is one who is worshipped prior to other gods. 7 Mukhi Rudraksha as found in various Puran

Seven faced Rudraksha is the symbol of Anang Shiva. Seven faced Rudraksha is saptmatradhi Daivat, saptashyadevat and saptmuni Daivat. It represents Goddess Maha Laxmi. It is the form of Rudra named Kaalagni. The wealth, in the form of learning that man gains in the world, should be apparent and permanent only then it is meaningful. In Padma Purana Chapter 57 Translated by Bhatta 1989 it is stated in verse 38 to 39 "The Rudraksha of one mouth is virtually Siva, it removes the sin of brahmanacide. Therefore one should wear it for the destruction of all (ones) sins. He would go to Siva's heaven and rejoice with Siva. O Kartikeya a man would obtain a Rudraksha of one mouth due to great religious merit and due to Siva's favour and would also obtain Kailasa".

One Mukhi Rudraksha is found in two shapes round and the half moon shape. Round Rudraksha is highly praised in our ancients texts but it is very rare and more of a myth . One Mukhi Half moon is easily available and found in a family tree of Rudraksha from India and Srilanka.From the point of view of importance there is no difference between them. Therefore it must be real and pure in whatever shape it may be. The cost of One Mukhi Round is more than the half moon shaped Rudraksha.
